Futbol as Football Series: GSD Molinese

Futbol as Football Series: #GSDMolinese from  #2aCategoriaPiemonteGironeM in Italy.

This is a tip of the hat to the GSD Molinese who liked my U.S. Alessandria Calcio post on Instagram.

Their blue Errea kit is asymmetrical that is solid azul with one white sleeve. Their second kit is blue and white checkered and I decided to use this checkering as a base for my concept American Football kits.

I used a checkered pattern for my Boavista (Portugal) concepts and I found it is time to try it again on a kit.

I have gone back to my generic/Real World concepts having different feels. On my #Errea Football Americano "Real World" concept I have altered between the Yoke and the Bib where to place the checkers.

I used the squad's castle from their badge and incorporated it into a Roundel for their helmet/pant/neck emblem. It turned out to be a pretty cool Helmet Decal!

(Sorry if this is more rambling than usual - I have a headache and my concentration is whopperjawed right now)

Futbol as Football Series: Murcielagos FC

Futbol as Football Series: #MurcielagosFC from #AscensoMX

The Bats!

I mean, C'MON! They're the BATS!!

They're kits have a cool halftone to them and they sport a set of wings on either side of their badge.

Simply, cool!

I decided on The Dark Knights while checking out possible Mexican squads to create a concept for. This one seemed pretty certain. Also, #GridIron is pretty big in our Neighbors to the south.

I stayed pretty close to their Futbol kits for my Generic Concept. I decided to keep the sleeves blank. Just seemed appropriate. I did add the Halftone to their pant stripe and to the socks.

OH - and I got to put #BATWINGS on the helmet!

Yay-yuh!

For my "Real Life" Concept, I decided to go with #TiendaMXTreme's template used for the #UANL #AutenticoTigres. Tienda MXTreme is the uniform supplier to quite a few Grid Iron squads in Mexico. Now, THAT UNIFORM is what the #CincinnatiBengals should look like. I kept the side panels and reworked the chest wings to be around the neck shield.

I also put the #Sinaloa State #CoatofArms on the back of the jerseys.

Futbol as Football: CS EMELEC

Futbol as Football Series: CS #EMELEC from Serie A of #Ecuador.

I was watching ESPN Deportes (or maybe UniVision Deportes) and I saw Boca Juniors from Argentina playing a team in all silver in the CONMEBOL Champions League. The team in all Silver was making Boca Juniors' night longer than what they wanted.

As the game went into PK's...then EXTRA PK's - you could feel the tension building and then Boca broke the team in Silver you could feel the joy for the home Juniors...

Then the heartbreak for the team in Silver.

That team which looked well on the pitch and nicely outfitted by #ADIDAS was CS EMELEC!

Go over to their WIKIPEDIA page to see the interesting history of the team.

Since I saw the American Football uniform of the Vasco de Gama Patriots from Brazil, I am even more convinced that you can have a sash on a Grid Iron Jersey and still be sharp.

So for my "Generic" and "Real World" designs, I stayed fairly consistent. Only difference are the collars on the Real World Collar.

I used a base ADIDAS CFL jersey template with Side Panel pant. The colors I went with for #ElBombillo are Cobalt 0056B3 - Platinum - E5E4E2 - Oxford Blue 002147 - Electric Crimson ff003f (a color close to their First Kit Goalkeeper kit).

Futbol as Football Series: Club Necaxa

Futbol as Football Series: Club Necaxa from Liga MX  of Mexico.

Los Rayos - the Thunderbolts!

How could I not pass up this sqaud! In trying to find a symbol for Necaxa, I did my normal search and wound up with a patch from a Ralph Lauren jacket which looks akin to the Attack Squadron patches from the US Navy. (One example - Atkron 42). Plus it already had three stars...

Totally meant to be, right?!?!

Their 2018 strip will incorporate the lightning bolt instead of the vertical stripes they currently sport from  their supplier: Charly. It is a sharp looking kit.

I decided to go with their current 2017 standard for this concept. I used an Acme Packers style circle to house the front numbers and went with a style similar to their Umbro kits of last year for the back. I kept the crest around the collar line and on the right leg for both concepts.

For the "Real World" concept I used several templates from Garb Athletics. For the jersey I used Ambridge (Steeler style shoulder stripes)/Santa Barbara (with the lightning bolt)/Kasher (side panels) with a mix of their Florida & Iowa pants design.

Futbol as Football Series: Kaya FC

Futbol as Football Series: Kaya FC from the United Football Leauge from the Philippines.

We've had a few folks from the Philippines visit the blog and this is a big ole "Thank You" to you!

The founders of Kaya FC were heavily influenced by Raggae music and can be seen in the clubs colors red, green, yellow and black.

Kaya's crest is fairly simple and I decided to search DeviantART and the web for possible symbols to represent the club. One of the biggest symbols from Bob Marley and Raggae is the "Lion of Judah". It was pretty tough to sift through the results and find something that was suitable.

The Helmet Lion is from wall art and the original file is here. The Transformer-type symbol is a variation of Chrispy Dubstep's symbol created by Peanut91xD which you can find at DeviantART

For the "generic" template I kept with Kaya's home kit with slim hoops on the front for both the home and away uniforms. I stuck with a simple pant stripe down the side and Green, Yellow and Red stripes on the Lids and socks.

LGR Athletics makes Kaya's kits and I decided that a corollary would be Healy Sportswear. They have a massive catalog to choose from and choose I did. I used Healy's Barracuda Jersey template and a hybrid of their Bronco and Arizona Knights pants. I didn't use the microhoops on the "Real World" template because I wanted something that stood apart from the soccer kit.

I'm crazy like that.

Futbol as Football Series: FK Atlantas

Futbol as Football Series: FK Atlantas from the Lithuanian A Lyga.

This is a big ole "Thank You" to the folks from Lithuania who have visited the blog recently. The next countries I intend to do concepts from are the Philippines and India. I've had quite a few visitors from that neck of the woods and I need to show them some love.

A Lyga has a few cool club crests. Check out FK Lietava Jonava and FC Stumbras for starters. When I came across Atlantas', as you can figure out, I was hooked!

A SEAHORSE! I haven't worked with a seahorse before and thought this was a perfect fit for my wild mind despite doing Blue and Gold several times before.

I removed the futbol from their current badge for the helmet decal. I tried to replicate the "ATLANTAS" from the badge for a chest plate and fleshed out the club's Seahorse for a shoulder crest.

I adapted the squad's Jako kit for my "generic template" keeping the company's 5 circle symbol on the shoulders and the pants. I used the club's wave from the crest and placed it behind the Seahorse on the shoulders.

Last time I did a Jako club I used Rawlings as a corollary. Since I used Rawlings for my last project, and for this concept I went with Wilson. I used Wilson's Corvalis template for the jersey and their FCP39 for the pants.

Futbol as Football Series: Maccabi Netanya FC

Futbol as Football Series: Maccabi Netanya FC of the Israeli Liga Lemuit.

This is a tip of the hat to the folks from Israel who have visited the blog!

I based this choice on the diamond from the club's badge. Their current kit is from Diadora which is simple, basic and neat.

Yet their togs from the 2015/16 campaign from Lotto has a cool gradient striping on the front which had me at "CLICK HERE"!

On the basic template I tried to emulate this effect on both the jersey and the pant. This could be done easily in the real world.

For the Real World correlation I chose Rawlings as a comparable correlate. The jersey is an ISO Custom Jersey/Missouri Template with Digital Wave pant.
