Futbol as Football Series: Purely Concept on my part - FC Leviathan Chukotka located in the capital Anadyr.

Chukotka is located at the Eastern most tip of Russia. In winter, you can walk from the town of Uelen to Alaska on the frozen Bering Sea if the conditions are right. There was a soccer team from Chukotka stationed in Moscow from 1999 to 2000 (Spartak Chukotka). They squad folded mid-season in 2000. I decided to create a team based on the nature of the people from Chukotka's relationship with the sea using symbols and colors representing local minerals, their rivers and the bounty from the ocean. Their colors are Dark Coral Red, Old Gold and white with powder blue in the mix. I have done concepts for both a Football and a Futbol team. 

I hand drew the squad's badge while using Squares Bold, Blagovest and CAT North for the fonts. For the Football uni: Numerals - Siamese Katsong, Name - Squares Bold, Team Name - Squares Bold, Anadyr - Bemount. Soccer/Futbol Fonts - Numeral - Vhia, Name - Mikodacs.

I will give the Yakutian Republic a lot of serious credit for how they promote themselves to folks outside of Sakha. visitYakutia.com, eYakutia, etc etc etc. For one of the coldest, inhabitable places on Earth, they do exude a welcoming warmth. I kept the Yakutian rider from their FC badge and did my best to draw out Yakutiya in Cyrillic for the helmet, chest and shoulders.

Team two from my Russian Far East project. The squad is located on the Island of Sakhalin (and in an Oblast of the same name). I incorporated the three colored symbol from their badge within an exaggerated C (Cyrillic for S) and used Ainu-inspired designs for the uniform. If you are wondering who the Ainu are, they are an indigenous Japanese people who live on the island.

Futbol as Football Series: FC Smena Komsomolsk-na-Amure of the Russian Professional Football League - Zone East. 

The Russian Far East intrigues me. Now, I'm not an expert or understand all the ins and outs; yet the barrenness, the cold, the cities and towns are interesting. I chose three squads from the Russian Third League and the first of them comes from Khabarovsk Krai on the Pacific Coast.

I used the squads oversized C from their badge along with the Sukhoi Aerospace symbol interlaced with it for their helmet and hip symbols. Fonts used: Numerals - Komikazoom, Name - Aeor Matics.
